Planting
When do I plant? Any time. Indoor kits are year-round.
What pots do I need? 5 small pots (6-8 inch) with drainage.
What soil? Potting mix.
How deep? Basil: surface. Cilantro: 1/4 inch. Parsley: 1/4 inch (soak first). Chives: 1/4 inch. Dill: 1/4 inch.
Growing
How long until harvest?
- Basil: 50-60 days
- Cilantro: 45-55 days
- Parsley: 70-90 days
- Chives: 60+ days
- Dill: 40-50 days
How much light? 4-6 hours. South-facing window best.
How often do I water? When the top inch is dry. Bottom watering preferred.
What if something dies? Reply to your order email with a photo. We reship once per variety.
Common Questions
What if my window faces north? Grow mint and parsley. Or add a grow light.
What if I have no natural light? You need a grow light.
What if my herbs are leggy? Not enough light. Move closer to window or add a grow light.
What if my herbs die? Usually overwatering.
