Day 60: What I’d Do Differently

60 days of growing herbs on my windowsill. Here’s what worked, what failed, and what I’d do differently next time.

What Worked

  • Basil: Continuous harvest. Should have planted more.
  • Chives: Easiest herb. Never died.
  • Parsley: Slow start, but productive now.
  • Mint: Planted in a separate pot. Took over that pot.

What Failed

  • Cilantro: Died twice. Too warm in my kitchen.
  • Dill: Leggy. Not enough light for it.

What I’d Do Differently

  1. More basil. It’s the most useful and easiest.
  2. Skip cilantro. Or grow it in a cooler spot.
  3. Add a grow light. For winter.
  4. Succession plant. Every 3 weeks.

What’s Next

The Mediterranean Kitchen Kit. I want oregano and thyme.

— Day 60 of 60. Round 2 soon.
