Day 1: Planting My First Garden (I’m Nervous)
I’ve never grown anything. Today I planted my first seeds. Here’s exactly what I did and how nervous I am.
I killed a succulent once. It just… died. I didn’t even know how. So starting a garden feels ambitious.
What I Planted Today
- 5 lettuce seeds (pressed into surface)
- 6 radish seeds (1/4 inch deep)
- 4 basil seeds (pressed in)
I’m waiting on beans and zucchini until Day 7.
What I Used
- 3 small pots (yogurt cups with holes)
- Seed starting mix
- Spray bottle
What I’m Worried About
- Did I plant too deep?
- Did I water too much?
- Will they sprout?
What I Did Right
I checked the seed packet for depth. I used a spray bottle so I didn’t wash the seeds away. I put them in the sunniest window.
Tomorrow
I’ll check soil moisture. If the top is dry, I’ll spray.
